Bible Verse:

Proverbs 11:1 “A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is his delight.”

My Remark:

This project has 2 photos namely “HIS Happiness” and “HIS Disgust” with using the symmetry and asymmetry organisation to strengthen the content.

His Happiness

We are the leaves in HIS tree.  In order to accommodating all the leaves, a balance will maintain according to HIS guidances.  Each leaves alike while remains unique.  With HIS Happiness, HIS tree will keep growing.  

His Disgust

While this tree is sicked such that the crown of the tree is asymmetrical.  The balance of this tree is maintained by the external forces with care.   But the fate of this tree is foreseeable.  We somehow can sense it like HIS disgust.  

Bible Verse: 

Luke 6:27-28 “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” 

My Remark:

The series has 3 photos: “You and Your enemy”, “Different Views” and “The Boundary”. The Design element I used is Form so It started with 2 entities in “You and Your Enemy”, then 3 entities in “Different Views” and lastly countless entities in “The Boundary”.

You and Your Enemy

In “You and Your enemy”, I want to emphasise the difference between you and your enemy in your own point of view with a blossoming flower and a dying flower. We often add difference between ourselve and our enemy. This adds conflicts, contradiction, hatred and finally may lead to mistreat. 

Different Views

Hence, in “Different Views”, I showed my own image reflected on 3 pots to stress that everyone has its own perception and the importance of communication. We can fight for settling the conflicts like a raw and we also can resolve conflicts by negotiations. 

The Boundary

In “The Boundary”, actually I want to show that God’s without boundaries. We are the leaves of His tree. We all perceives His light. I increased the ISO in a cloudy day such that the sky and the leaves seem without boundaries. It symbolises the uniqueness of us and the boundary between God and us and the boundaries among ourselves.

Bible Verse:

John 3:8 – The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

My Remarks:

The flower in focus symbolises our determination to the faith. It contradicted with the flowers that moved by the wind were out focus in the background. I hope our faith to God is as determined as the flower in front in this photo.
